Lordstown Motors Corporation has enlisted the help of 2019 Heisman Trophy winner and Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow to help promote the electric-powered Endurance pickup truck planned for production in Lordstown.

LMC on Tuesday named Burrow as the spokesman for its “Work for it” campaign to transform the light-duty truck commercial fleet industry.

"I am proud to partner with an innovative company like Lordstown Motors," said Burrow. "Their team is putting in a tremendous amount of hard work to achieve some very lofty goals, and that certainly resonated with me and how I approach my job every day."

Burrow is the force behind the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund which provides supplemental and emergency food aid to needy residents of Athens County, Ohio. The fund supports the operations of the Athens County Food Pantry.

As part of the LMC partnership, the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund will receive funds and other resources to address hunger and poverty, as well as provide meals for the needy.

LMC owns the 6.2 million square foot Lordstown Assembly Plant where it plans to build what is being billed as the world's first fully-electric pickup truck designed to serve the commercial fleet market.
