Firefighters were called out late Monday morning to battle flames inside a home in Hubbard.

Dispatchers were told about 10:45 am that smoke was seen pouring from the rear window of a home on the 100 block of East Water Street, just off Main Street.

Shortly after the initial call, a second alarm was sent out and the fire was quickly under control.

Investigators believe the fire started in a clothes dryer, sending smoke throughout the home.

The residents and two family cats were not harmed in the fire.
