Newton Falls Schools fully remote Monday out of caution

Newton Falls Schools will be fully remote on Monday, September 21, out of an abundance of caution based on a possible positive COVID-19 case in the district.
All students K-12 will be remote and will follow their "PURPLE" schedules.
The purple schedules have been placed on the school website for students and parents to follow.
When we are on the purple schedule, all students, regardless of attending school in person, five days a week in the elementary or two days a week on the alternating A/B schedule in grades 6-12, and the daily remote learners will follow the purple schedule.
All classes will be remote starting at 9 a.m, and all athletic events and practices are canceled for Monday.
School officials say this is a proactive measure based upon a possible COVID result in the district.
Officials are waiting for testing results and are working closely with the health department.
Additional deep cleaning of all busses and facilities will take place on Monday as well.
