Detectives are hoping surveillance video, and blood samples will help them find out whoever vandalized the Warren Public Library on Mahoning Avenue over the weekend.

Staff members came to work to find seven windows on the library building had been smashed, and windows on two library vans were cracked.

Damage to the library windows is estimated at $2,700.

Police found drops of blood near a couple of the windows and took samples in hopes of identifying a suspect or suspects.

Library officials reported a similar incident of vandalism on July 1.
