Justice, Catherines closing in Boardman, Niles

Tween girls in the Mahoning Valley will soon have three fewer places to shop for clothing. But not before some getting some bargains in time to go back to school.
A company that specializes in women's fashions, Ascena, has filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and announced this week that it is closing 600 of its Justice stores, and all of its Catherine stores.
The two Justice stores in the Southern Park Mall and Shops in Boardman Park, as well as one at the Eastwood Mall in Niles, are included in the closings. The Prime Outlets Justice store in Grove City, Pennsylvania, will remain open.
Justice is advertising closing sales with 40% to 60% off original prices on clothing for girls.
Plus-size women's clothier Catherines in the Great East Plaza, the only local Catherines, is also closing.
Ascena blames the economic impact of COVID-19 for the bankruptcy filing.
