More and more people headed on a shopping trip will be required to wear protective face coverings when they enter a store beginning today.

Walmart, Sam’s Club, CVS, Marc’s, Lowes, and other retailers have announced mask policies that begin Monday, July 20.

While some businesses plan to institute mask mandates in the coming days, others have not announced a mask policy.

Many stores have designated mask exemptions for small children and those with valid medical issues.

Some businesses that have not posted mask mandates may still require face coverings at stores located in one of the nineteen counties in Ohio that are currently under a Red Level Three public health emergency. As of Monday, July 20, Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana Counties are not under a Red Alert.
