Police have released the names of the mother and daughter involved in a murder-suicide on Youngstown’s West Side last week.

Saying he was responding to several requests by various media outlets, YPD Captain Brad Blackburn issued a news release naming 71-year-old Suzanna Quinones-Colon as the woman who fatally shot her 51-year-old daughter, Diana Rosaly at their home.

The shooting happened around 11 a.m. Thursday on the 1000 block of South Schenley Avenue.

According to a 9-1-1 call, a man tells dispatchers, "My wife just shot herself and our disabled daughter."

The caller went on to tell police that he was coming home from work to check on them and found them both dead from gunshot wounds, according to the call.

The man said his daughter had cerebral palsy.
