Heavy downpours caused issues around the Valley with Trumbull and Columbiana counties after a round of storms made its way into the Valley on Friday, July 10.

Wind gusts of 50 mph were recorded in Trumbull Co. and brought down trees on utility lines near King Grave Rd. There was also some flooding reported in the area.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh issued flood advisories for Trumbull,  Columbiana and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania through 4:45 p.m.

Heavy downpours have been reported in earlier in the afternoon around Leetonia and the surrounding area in Columbiana Co., with one to several inches of rain falling.

As of 3:50 p.m., Columbiana Co. was reporting 719 outages in the county, mainly in the Washontionville, Unity, Salem townships, Mahoning Co. 369 outages mainly in Green Township, and Trumbull reporting 135 outages in the Fowler and Brookfield areas.

Lawrence Co. is reporting 1,329 power outages.
