The Boardman man who threatened federal agents online last year will face no prison time.

Justin Olsen, who is now 19, was sentenced Thursday in federal court to three years probation with standard and special conditions for threatening to assault a federal law enforcement officer.

A fine was waived and his second charge, making an interstate communication threat, was dismissed.

Olsen was convicted of threatening to "shoot every federal law agent on sight" in an online post back in June of 2019.

He was also accused of making threats to shooting up a gay bar and Planned Parenthood.

Agents also said they found an array of "stockpiled" weapons at his father's home on Oakridge Drive in August, including 10,000 rounds of ammunition and a machete in the trunk of his car.

He could have faced a maximum of ten years in prison.

A sentencing exhibit filed Wednesday included a letter from a church, commending Olsen for his volunteer work helping set up their video conference equipment for Easter and Palm Sunday.
