Cleveland Zoo reopens Wednesday

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is set to reopen Wednesday following a shutdown due to coronavirus precautions.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily beginning June 17 under social distancing and other safety measures.
Several exhibit areas will operate in one-way directional flow including the Tiger Passage, Asian Highlands, Wolf Lodge and African Elephant Crossing.
Some Zoo areas, attractions and services remain closed including playground areas, the Contact Yard and Camel Ride experience. Tram service will not be available.
Interiors of certain buildings may be closed at times depending on capacity or staff limitations.
Metroparks officials have installed handwashing stations across Zoo grounds and staff will be sanitizing high touch areas.
Zoo employees are required to wear protective face coverings. While guests are encouraged to wear facial coverings during their visit, but facial coverings are not required.
All Zoo concessions except The RainForest Café will be open, weather permitting. The Zoo's gift shop will also be open. Lines and food court tables will be designated to provide social distancing.
Restrooms, drinking fountains, nursing facilities and first aid stations are open.
Wheelchair and stroller rentals will be disinfected between uses.
People planning to visit are being encouraged to purchase or reserve tickets in advance so the number of people in the park can be controlled.
Tickets are now available for June 17 through June 30 at FutureForWildlife.org/reopen.
General admission tickets for non-members is $16.95 for adults, $14.95 for seniors (age 62 and older) and $12.95 for children (ages 2 - 12). Tickets are not required for children under two.
