After an unplanned break due to COVID-19, Robins Theatre, located at 160 E Market Street in Warren, is preparing to reopen beginning on Friday, June 19 with the playing of Casablanca (1942) at 7:00 p.m.

According to a press release, The Wizard of Oz (1939) will be played on Saturday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. and again at 7:00 p.m.

In compliance with the Responsible Restart Ohio guidelines set by the Ohio Department of Health, Robins Theatre officials said in the press release, "the safety of those who enter the facility is at the forefront of our efforts."

To keep up with those efforts, Robins Theatre has implemented completely "touch-less restroom." Additionally, an electrostatic deep-cleaning of the Theatre will take place prior to reopening. Plexi-glass has been installed at concession areas and hand sanitizing stations have been placed at the entrance and in all restrooms.

Seating will meet social distancing requirements while ushers and concession workers will be required to wear protective masks and gloves to ensure the safety of guests. A U-V cleaning will also be performed in addition to conventional cleaning after each show.

Tickets for each of the two movies playing later this month are $5.00 each, and will only be available at the box office 45 minutes prior to each showing. Doors will also open 45 minutes prior to movie start times.

In the release, Robins Theatre officials said concert activities are "still up in the air," until guidelines and direction from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine are released. Numerous concerts have already been rescheduled and, according to the release, "there will be a new concert announcement in the very near future."
