Warren police arrest women filming traffic stop

A Burghill woman and her mother were taken to jail after Warren police say they blocked traffic along East Market Street while taking video of a police traffic stop.
Officers from Howland called for help from Warren near Golf Drive Thursday evening where they had pulled a car over.
Police say Cassandra Peters, 38, of Ashtabula parked her car in front of the stopped car and was shooting video with her phone.
After police told Peters she could not stop traffic to film, they say Peters told her daughter, 19-year-old Kylie Peters of Burghill, to move the car so the mom could walk to the side of the road.
Police say since Cassandra Peters had been driving the car blocking traffic, she was placed under arrest.
Officers say after they handcuffed Peters, she began “screaming” for her daughter to come and get her phone.
According to the police report, despite repeated orders to stay away, the daughter began to approach her mother and was also handcuffed.
Both were booked into the county jail and later released.
The woman driving the other car, 41-year-old Markisha Parker of Florida, was issued a court summons and was permitted to drive away because she was with young children.
All three women are charged with disorderly conduct, hindering the movement of traffic.
