The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft is expected to launch off from Florida's Space Coast at NASA today. This will be the first launch into space from the U.S. since 2011. 

Watch the historic return to space launch live. The launch is scheduled at 3:22:45 p.m., with astronauts Douglas Hurley and Robert Behnken onboard, heading to the International Space Station aboard the Falcon 9 rocket.

If something prevents today's planned launch, the next opportunity will be Sunday, May 31, at 3:00:11 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, a slight chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms are likely by this afternoon. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. 

President Trump is expected in Florida Saturday to watch the launch.
