A missing swimmer in Portage County was found dead Sunday. 

The Portage County Water Rescue Team says a man was recovered by divers at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

They took to their Facebook page to remind people to stay safe, especially this holiday weekend. 

"This holiday weekend, and every day, be safe around the water. Don’t swim alone and always wear a life jacket," it read. 

The victim's name has not been released.
