Ohio coronavirus cases now 14,983; 711 deaths reported

Ohio's confirmed coronavirus cases show a small rise throughout the state Saturday.
Total cases are up to 14,983, an increase of 402 since Friday's briefing.
When adding the cases using the expanded CDC definition that includes rapid tests and those showing symptoms, the number increases to 15,587.
Deaths from the coronavirus also increased to 711, a jump of 62 from Friday's report.
More than 3,100 have been hospitalized as they fight coronavirus.
Statistics show that 58 percent of cases are in males while 42 percent are female.
Locally, Mahoning County has 721 total cases, up 34 from Friday's report. There have also been 224 hospitalizations and 66 deaths in the County.
Trumbull County cases increased by 9, making the total 287. There are a total of 106 hospitalizations and 23 deaths.
Columbiana County reported 222 total cases, up 8 from yesterday's report, and 19 deaths.
The slowed growth in cases comes as Ohio Governor Mike DeWine prepares to lay out plans for how to restart some businesses in the state that have been shuttered for more than a month due to a "stay at home" order designed to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Since mid-March, the governor has closed down bars, restaurants, schools and all businesses deemed nonessential, as well as limiting the number of people who can gather in one place at one time, even in essential businesses such as grocery stores.
Those efforts have seen projections for the growth of the coronavirus revised downward from earlier numbers in excess of 10,000 cases per day.
