Belleria Pizza donates hot meals to 9 local fire stations
Belleria Pizza in Struthers reached out to the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley to see how they could help during this coronavirus pandemic. Together, they came up with a way to feed nine fire stations.
A line of Volunteers in their cars picked up pounds of cavatelli, meatballs, pasta salad and rolls.
They all took the food to the nine fire departments.
Seven in Youngstown and two in Struthers.
The owner of Belleria said he's thankful United Way helped his restaurant support those on the front line.
"We see it all over our valley that companies are stepping up to help out those who are working 12, 15 hour days," said Frank Lellio. "We have been very fortunate with our loyal customers that they are still patronizing us and we are trying to stay open for them. So this is just another way for us to give back to our valley."
