UPDATE | Arconic employee who died did not have coronavirus

More than one week after several employees at Arconic Niles Operation went into self-quarantine following a worker's death, a company spokesperson said that the worker did not have the coronavirus.
The spokesperson said the Trumbull County Coroner confirmed the employee who died was found not to have COVID-19.
However, two other employees at the facility tested positive.

The company has alerted its Niles workforce about the test result and has also communicated to the employees who were self-quarantined as a result of the incident that they may return to work following established company protocol.
The company said they are taking significant measures to maintain strict hygiene and social distancing guidelines as issued by the CDC, Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and Arconic Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) professionals.
