Some employees at Niles Arconic self-quarantined as precaution after worker's death

Operators of a Weathersfield Township manufacturing facility say they have ordered self-quarantines for workers who were in contact with an employee who was found deceased early Wednesday.
A spokesperson for Arconic’s Niles Operation confirmed to 21 News that the body of the employee was found on the facility’s property.
Arconic Communications Manager Cary Dell said in an email that the death was non-work related.
21 News first became aware of the death through information from Arconic employees who are concerned because of the current coronavirus outbreak.
The Trumbull County Coroner has not released the identity of the man, adding that an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Arconic released a statement that reads in part:
“Until the coroner completes its investigation, Arconic Niles Operations, out of an abundance of caution, has directed employees who came into contact with the deceased to self-quarantine in keeping with our specific protocols for employees at this time.”
