Ohio coronavirus cases now up to 50

There are now 50 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the state as of Monday afternoon.
The number represents a new jump in cases around the state, after Sunday's total of 37.
No new cases in the Mahoning Valley were reported in Monday's numbers, although there are two cases in Trumbull County, and the people those patients came in contact with are being monitored.
One week ago, there were still no confirmed cases in the state. However, Ohio's chief medical officer, Dr. Amy Acton, has repeatedly stressed that there are likely somewhere around 100,000 cases throughout the state.
Many of those infected may not even have known they had the virus, mistaking it for a cold or the flu.
DeWine has taken drastic steps to slow the spread of the disease, including closing schools all bars and restaurants around the state, to ensure the hospital system is not overwhelmed.
Cases are expected to continue to rise until a peak that is estimated to hit sometime in April or May.
In addition to the Trumbull county cases, there are confirmed cases in Belmont (2), Butler (6), Cuyahoga (24), Franklin (3), Geauga (1), Lorain (3), Lucas (1), Medina (2), Stark (3), Summit (2), Trumbull (2), Tuscarawas (1) counties.
