Boardman police are investigating an early morning shooting that took the life of one man.
Police and medical personnel were called to the home on the 5500 block of West Boulevard for a man that had reportedly been shot in the chest.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Thursday.
The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Kane Wiesensee.
Boardman Police were not letting anyone near the scene, but there was a heavy police presence in the area.
Nineteen-year-old Emanuel Boyd was booked into the Mahoning County Jail by Boardman Police on a murder charge.
Chief Todd Werth confirmed that Boyd was arrested in connection to the shooting on West Boulevard.
This is not the first time the home on the 5500 block of West Boulevard has been involved in an alleged crime.
Back in 2017, the home was searched by Boardman police, and computers were taken from the residence.
That search stemmed from information that a juvenile female provided to a school resource officer and involved Robert Boyd.
Robert Boyd was indicted on charges of rape, gross sexual imposition, disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile, and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.
The 2018 indictment alleged that Robert Boyd had raped a girl who was 17 at the time.
That home was also involved in a fire a few years ago.
The flames damaged the home, and a wood-burning stove was to blame.
