Cortland police officer on leave after OVI crash

A Cortland police officer cited with OVI following a crash in Vernon Township has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.
Chief David Morris confirmed that part-time officer Tiffany Wolfe, 28 of Sharpsville, Pa. was placed on leave Saturday.
According to a report filed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Wolfe was driving along Bradlee Brownlee Road Saturday night when her jeep crossed the center line, struck a culvert, rolled over and struck a tree. The report says Wolfe suffered a minor injury.
Charges of OVI and operating a vehicle without reasonable control have been filed in Trumbull County Eastern District Court.
According to court records, Wolfe did not appear for a scheduled arraignment on Tuesday because her citation stated that the court appearance was to be on Wednesday. A new hearing date will be scheduled.
Wolfe is a part-time officer and has been with the Cortland Police Department since August of 2019. She previously worked for Hubbard Township Police.
Chief Morris says they are cooperating with the Ohio State Highway Patrol about the incident.
