Youngstown Fire Station 7 has been a cornerstone in the city of Youngstown for 116 years, serving the northside community.
Now Station 7 is another part of Youngstown's history as moving trucks pulled up to the fire station Friday to clear it out.
The movers arrived as active and retired firefighters took in a few more moments in their second home.
The station, located on the corner of Elm Street and Madison Avenue, sits vacant after closing due to budget concerns.
According to dispatchers, the station was officially taken out of service on Friday evening.
The downtown station will take over the calls that would typically go to Station 7.
