Youngstown police confirmed Wednesday they are investigating a homicide on the city's east side.

Police were called out to the 1400 block of Woodcrest Avenue just before 5 p.m. for a reported shooting.  

According to a release from the Youngstown Police Department, officers found a man in his 20s in the living room with multiple gunshot wounds. 

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. 

Youngstown Police Detectives and the Mahoning County Coroner's Office are investigating.

There's been no word on any suspects, and the victim's name has not been released.
