A local company has been featured in "This Old House" magazine's 2019 Idea House reveal issue.

"This Old House" released the print and digital 2019 Idea House recently and featured multiple products made by Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods.

The 2019 Idea House is a 1840s-era Greek Revival home that was restored in New Canaan, Connecticut, and featured Baird Brothers products on all three floors.

Designs in the home include the entry hall's herringbone oak floor, modern railings for the staircase, and the home's original beehive oven.

"We've had the opportunity to visit the 2019 Idea House on several occasions over the past several months, and that home is unlike anything I've ever seen," said Steve Stack, sales director at Baird Brothers. "Everywhere you turn, there's something breathtaking to look at, whether it's the multiple double-sided fireplaces or the 8-foot solid white oak doors."

"Our opportunities with "This Old House" have been exciting and inspiring," said Stack. "We're side-by-side with industry leaders like Tom Silva and Kevin O'Connor, and we're watching our locally made products get national recognition. It doesn't get much better than that."
