The Mahoning County Sheriff's Office says a $10,000 reward is being offered for information that can lead investigators to the conviction of whoever killed a Girard woman more than thirty years ago.

The sheriff is looking for information helping them solve the murder case of Eileen Zarlenga.

On the night of January 25, 1988, or the morning of January 26, 1988, 29-year-old Eileen Zarlenga is believed to have been lured or abducted from her apartment located at 1082 Patricia Drive, Girard, leaving her 3-year-old daughter alone inside.

After being missing for several days, Zarlenga's body was located on January 30 in a wooded area in Mahoning County off of Gladstone Road, just east of State Route 45, Jackson Township.

Investigators say Zarlenga had been stabbed several times, and there was an indication she had been sexually assaulted.

The $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff at 330-480-5028.

In 2010 Youngstown Crimestoppers offered a $5,000 reward for information on the case.
