A former Youngstown man who was 15-years-old when he was convicted of raping a YSU student at gunpoint has now been labeled as a sex offender.
Brandon Moore, now 32-years-old, appeared this week before Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge Maureen Sweeney, who declared Moore as a sexually oriented offender.
The designation means that Moore would have to register his address with authorities when he completes his fifty-year prison term.
Moore was originally sentenced in 2002 to 141 years in prison by Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge R. Scott Krichbaum.
Judge Sweeney resentenced Moore last year under different guidelines.
Moore is currently appealing that sentence.
