A Warren woman faces charges after police say they found her sitting and swaying on a roadside while her two daughters looked on and cried.

Police say they found 37-year-old Autumn Kovell sitting on the grass along Forest Street Monday afternoon.

According to the police report, Kovell was “out of it”, her eyes were rolled back and her head was bobbing forward and back as she was trying to stay upright.

Kovell's two daughters, ages 14 and 9, were standing on the sidewalk about ten feet away from their mother. Both were holding on to each other as they cried.

An EMT give Kovell a dose of the opiate overdose reversal drug Narcan and was taken to St. Joseph hospital.

Police say the found a small bag of marijuana and a glass pipe in her purse. They say they also found a small package of an unknown substance in a cigarette pack.

Kovell was issued a summons to appear in Warren Municipal Court on two counts of child endangering, drug and drug paraphernalia possession.

Her children were turned over to the care of relatives.
