A Braceville man has been reunited with his pet monkey after it got loose Monday morning.

A caller to 911 told dispatchers that the monkey was spotted running between the trucks of the Marathon Express parking lot on Route 5.

The caller said the monkey was barring his teeth.

Police learned later from the owner of the monkey, Tony Thomas, that it escaped from his home near the gas station.

After a search conducted by Thomas and some friends, the Capuchin Monkey named Teeko was found on a neighbor's roof.

Thomas told 21 News that it's not uncommon for Teeko to show his teeth when he is nervous or frightened.

Teeko has a rabies shot according to Thomas.
