Local trucking company Falcon Transport says that it is closed.

According to our print partner The Vindicator, approximately 550 employees received a text from the company to stop any work they were doing for the company.

The message has been circulating on Facebook, and 21 News has received numerous emails from Falcon Transport employees.

Falcon Transport was founded in 1903 and was family owned and operated for four generations before being purchased in 2017 by CounterPoint Capital Partners of Los Angeles.

The company was a service provider to the big three automakers.

21 News went to Falcon Transport locations where there was no sign of any workers.

The company has a private property sign posted and security keeping people away from the premises.
