The Poland Local School District has three fewer buses to take students to school after flames destroyed one bus and damaged two others.

Firefighters were called out long before the start of classes Tuesday as flames spread through a school bus at Poland High School.

The fire was reported on bus number 32 just after 5 am.

Smoke could be seen pouring from the bus parked in the lot with the fleet of buses on Dobbins Road.

Flames destroyed the front end of bus 32, and damaged two buses that were nearby.

No one was on the bus at the time.

Investigators are still looking for the cause of the fire.

A school spokesperson tells 21 News that student transportation will not be impacted.
