The Pennsylvania Fire Marshal is looking for the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in Mercer County.

Crews were called out just after 4 am Friday to the 600 block of Mercer Road in Delaware Township, just south of Greenville.

When crews arrived, flames had already spread throughout a home next to a building marked with the sign "Stoyer's Landscaping and Nursery."

A second fire alarm was sounded before 5 am.

Fire Police shut down traffic along Route 58 between Salem Road and Kidds Mills Road.

No one was injured.  However, damage to the home was so extensive a backhoe was brought in to push the rubble into the basement.

Firefighters say they found a dog near the fire scene and have called humane officials to care for it.

Investigators are trying to find out if anyone was living in the home, which is a rental property.
