Woman hospitalized after Howland house fire
One person is hospitalized after a Howland Township home caught fire Tuesday night.

One person is hospitalized after a Howland Township home caught fire Tuesday night.
A 911 caller reported the fire at a home on the 2800 block of Orchard Avenue just after 11:30 pm.
People in the house got out and sought shelter at a neighbor's home, but a woman was taken to St. Joseph Hospital and then flown to the Akron Burn Unit for treatment. The identity or condition of the victim has not been released.
Firefighters from Howland, Bazetta, Cortland, and Weathersfield say the fire was quickly brought under control.
Several pets were killed in the fire.
The Red Cross is helping the family find shelter, clothing and other needs.
The state fire marshal is looking for the cause of the fire which heavily damaged the first floor of the home.
The home did not have working smoke detectors.
