Austintown man arrested after a fight with police

Eric Seybert of Austintown was confronted and tased by Austintown Police officers after an incident with a bypassing driver.

The report states that the victim was driving down Westgate Blvd. towards Burkey when Seybert tried to turn right causing him to hit the victims vehicle.

Seybert then allegedly banged on his window and threatened to beat him. 

According to a witness report, the victim started recording Seybert causing him to return to his vehicle where he then fled the scene.

The victim chased him down Raccoon Road where the van then turned right onto Mahoning Avenue passing several people.

Seybert finally stopped on North Main Street where he allegedly approached the victim again stating, "I will beat you" and shortly after the cops arrived on the scene. 

According to authorities, Seybert started getting hostile towards the officers and began to fight police. Seybert was then tased and arrested.

Seybert is being charged for resisting arrest, obstructing official business, menacing, driving under the influence and disorderly conduct.
