Mahoning County Sheriff's Deputy convicted, put on leave
Mahoning County Sheriff's Deputy, Michael Hunchuck has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation for a conviction of obstructing official business.

Mahoning County Sheriff's Deputy, Michael Hunchuck has been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation for a conviction of obstructing official business.
Hunchuck was convicted of obstructing official business after misleading Boardman police of an accident that did not occur on E. Western Reserve Road.
According to the police report, Hunchuck called Boardman police about a car accident involving a United States Postal Service truck. When Boardman police investigated the surveillance tape they noticed that there was not an accident to report.
Hunchuck was originally charged with falsification which is a misdemeanor one charge, but those charges were reduced to obstructing official business which is a misdemeanor two charge.
Hunchuck has been sentenced to 12 months probation.
According to Mahoning County Sheriff, Jerry Greene, the internal investigation should not take that long and they will decide what to do with Hunchuck after the investigation is completed.
