A Howland teacher was recognized Tuesday with a big reward to recognize the program she started to help students.
Gina Camelli saw her students growing needs and, with the support of her community and staff, launched Paw Pantry.
Hardee's Restaurants chose to recognize Paw Pantry by giving the program $10,000. It was just one of four others the restaurant chose to award.
Camelli says the money will allow the Paw Pantry to build upon their efforts and help even more families.
The pantry has been able to supply students with clothing, non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, and school supplies.
