Boardman police are looking for whoever stole an estimated $100,000 worth of jewelry from a Southern Park Mall department store.
Security investigators for J.C. Penny tell police that the loss was discovered after an inventory of the merchandise was conducted earlier this month in the store's fine jewelry department.
Nearly $58,000 of the loss was in gold necklaces alone, according to police.
Rings and other types of gold jewelry are also missing.
Store officials say a current employee is considered a suspect in the theft.
As of Monday, no charges had been filed.
