McGuffey Elementary relocating students Tuesday to continue roof repairs
Crews were making repairs and cleaning up the soggy mess after a leaky roof drenched part of McGuffey Elementary School in Youngstown during the weekend rain.
Youngstown's McGuffey Elementary School will reopen to students Tuesday, however, there will be some accommodations.
The school was closed Monday after steady rains over the weekend caused leaks in the building's roof.
Crews were making repairs and cleaning up the soggy mess after a leaky roof drenched part of McGuffey Elementary School in Youngstown during the weekend rain.
According to district officials, 12 rooms throughout the building were affected by the leaks.
The school will reopen Tuesday, however, the district says plans have been made to reorganize classrooms and move individuals around so that crews can continue repair efforts.
While school was closed on Monday, teachers and staff reported to work, some of them sitting among books and furniture covered with plastic.
