Two suspects are behind bars after allegedly stealing aluminum coils from a Trumbull County hospital.
Warren police arrested Michael Pence, 35, and Jessica Friend, 29, for the incident that happened at Trumbull Regional Medical Center last Friday.
Last week, police said a hospital security guard told them that a red and brown, two-tone Chevy four-door truck drove through the parking lot near the maternity entrance and backed up near the loading dock.
Two men then got out of the truck and loaded a 300-pound aluminum coil into the bed of the truck and drove away.
The security guard then told police that, on Friday, the same truck returned.
According to the security guard, this time one man and one woman got out of the truck and loaded another 300-pound aluminum coil into the bed of the truck.
Police reported that the security guard told them the aluminum coils were going to be scrapped by the hospital.
The coils were placed in the corner by the loading dock and that area had been sectioned off with red tape, the security guard said.
Police say they were able to match up the license plate on their truck with surveillance video.
The total rolls of aluminum were valued at 1,600 dollars.
