Austintown Police said they've successfully identified the people involved in an alleged meat theft thanks to social media.
The department posted pictures of three people who they said stole meat from the shelves, one of the women then concealing them in her purse and leaving Giant Eagle, failing to pay for the meat.
The incident happened Monday, July 23 at around 7 p.m. at the store on Mahoning Avenue.
The caller told police the woman took $35 in steaks and chicken, according to the police report.
Police said they do not believe any of the suspects have been arrested but should be able to release their names later.
