The Columbiana County Child Support Enforcement Agency is offering non-custodial parents with an active driver's license suspension, an opportunity to have that license reinstated by paying one month of their child support obligation plus one dollar toward arrears on their cases.
The agency is running the promotion through August for Child Support Awareness Month.
An additional reinstatement fee will still need to be paid at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
In offering the program, the agency says they hope to work with these parents to help them drive legally and have more opportunities for employment.
Non-custodial parents can visit the Columbiana County CSEA at 7989 Dickey Dr. Suite 2 Lisbon, OH 44432 to pay their child support Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Cash or money orders are accepted.
Parents can contact the CSEA at (330) 424-7781 to speak to their case manager to discuss this opportunity.
