A Newton Falls woman has been indicted by a Trumbull County Grand Jury after being charged for allegedly injuring her twin daughters.

Twenty-year-old Harley Warner was booked into the Trumbull County Jail in June and now faces felonious assault and child endangering charges.

A judge later ordered Warner to be held in jail on a bond of $25,000.

The indictment detailed that Warner "recklessly abused" the children, causing "serious physical harm" to them on separate occasions from March of this year until June.

Warner is the mother of seven-month-old Alicia and Tatyana Wento, who according to Trumbull County Children Services, are being cared for in Akron Children's Hospital.

Responding to inquiries from 21 News, Trumbull County Children Services Executive Director Tim Schaffner said that the investigation began weeks ago after learning that the infants had been in and out of hospitals several times, including St. Joseph Hospital in Warren.

At the time 21 News spoke with Schaffner, he would not disclose the nature of the injuries but said he didn't believe they do not immediately threaten the lives of either twin.

A police report filed by Warren police described the injuries as apparent broken bones, possible internal injuries, and a severe laceration.
