An Akron woman is under arrest after being caught up in the continuing crackdown on human trafficking in Austintown.

As township undercover officers have done many times before in recent years, they answered an online ad from someone promising “massage services”.

Through a series of texts, police say they were offered sex services for $250.

The undercover officer texted a request asking if the suspect could wear a nurses or maid outfit when they met.

According to police, the person responded in a text saying they didn't have those outfits, but could wear a stripper-type dress and texted a picture of her wearing the dress.

Police say that's the dress Vera Bennett was wearing when they met on North Kimberly Avenue just after midnight Thursday morning.

When the undercover officer identified himself the 31-year-old Akron woman began to cry saying, “I'm in so much trouble.”

Police say they confiscated a condom and Bennett's cell phone, charging her with soliciting sex, possession of criminal tools and advertising massage services.

The police report says Bennett is not licensed to provide massages.

Bennet is the second woman from out the area to be arrested this week in an Austintown prostitution sting.

On Tuesday, police arrested 22-year-old Amber Arnold of Martins Ferry, Ohio after answering an ad on a website used for escort services.

Arnold was charged with soliciting, possession of criminal tools and drug paraphernalia.
