Youngstown State University's Marching ban hosted "Meet the Marching Pride" Saturday evening at Stambaugh Stadium.

It's a preview of the band's halftime and pregame lineup for the season.

The event was free and open to the public.

Marching band members said like the athletes, they can already feel the adrenaline.

"I've been practicing all summer for this and everything and getting ready for this. It's fantastic", said sophomore drum line member Ashley Ellwood.

The band showcased their marching and songs and the majorettes showed off their moves.

"It's crazy. It's a big adrenaline rush, yeah, it's awesome," said senior majorette Gianna Pesce.

University President Jim Tressel was the honorary conductor for the evening.

The band will perform at the first football game of the season at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

Youngstown State University will play the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday, September 2. Kick off is at 1 pm.
