Nearly one year after it closed, Arby's is celebrating the grand re-opening of its restaurant on Boardman Canfield Road.

The restaurant, which closed in January, was replaced with a new design that includes subway tiling, stainless steel, multicolor wood materials, modern lighting and chalkboard graphics.

Arby's officials say the new format is designed to increase efficiency and has yielded sales increases of 15 percent or more.

The restaurant is across the street from the original Arby’s building, a 10-seat drive-in sandwich shop opened by Ohio brothers Leroy and Forrest Raffel in 1964.
