Despite the disagreements throughout this election season, many voters in Mercer County agreed on one thing Tuesday.

"The bickering and who is telling lies and who is telling the truth and all of that just started getting on my nerves.  So, I am happy it is all over," said Yolanda Jackson of Sharon.

Unlike Ohio voters, Pennsylvanians wishing to vote had just Tuesday to cast their ballots as the state doesn't allow early voting.

The Mercer County Board of Elections anticipates voter turnout to be similar to that of the 2012 election, which was between 60 and 70%.  However, poll workers at Musser Elementary School in Sharon were seeing double the amount of foot traffic by lunch time, which is when Chaz Knott stopped by to cast his ballot.

"I thought this was one of the worse elections.  They never talked about points, always talked, this mudslinging, this and that.  I didn't appreciate that.  I wanted to hear about problems.  There are big problems in the world and they never really touched bases on that.  That is why I was a little bit nervous coming out today and voting because I don't know what their true, what they really want to do at the end of the day," said Knott.

The Mercer County Board of Elections says it experienced a few minor issues with two polling machines.  Other than that, a spokesperson says a majority of the calls coming into the Board of Elections were from people wondering if they were registered to vote and wondering where their polling site was located.

Polls in Mercer County will close at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
