In what's being called a continuing commitment to transparency, the salaries of all Mahoning County employees are now posted on-line.
Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel and Mahoning County Auditor Ralph Meecham say the information on nearly 1,996 employees represents over $73-million dollars from 2015.
Treasurer Mandel says Mahoning County was one of the very first counties to post their operating expenses on-line and said they are doing a great job of leading by example.
"There are a lot of politicians who don't like it, but the taxpayers love it because this is about power to the people and gives the power to the citizens to hold the politicians accountable," Mandel said.
Mandel tells 21 News that next week he will contact the city of Youngstown and the Youngstown City Schools about also posting their employee salaries on-line.
