GIRARD, Ohio - Police answering a call about shots fired in a Girard neighborhood found a cache of weapons inside an Iowa Street home.
Officers were dispatched Tuesday evening after someone reported that shots were being fired from a home.
According to police, several shots fired from inside the house penetrated the walls of a home next door.
The neighbors weren't home at the time, and no one was injured by the gunfire.
Once inside the house where the shots came from, police say they found several weapons, including five rifles, magazines loaded with ammunition, two handguns, as well as knives.
Police arrested the owner of the home, 35-year-old Elmer Gordon, booking him into the Trumbull County Jail on charges of improperly discharging a firearm into a home and using weapons while intoxicated.
At the time of his arrest, Gordon was already on probation after pleading guilty in March to firing a weapon inside city limits.
