Construction is underway at the site of the new Lakeview K-8 building in Cortland, and neighbors brought up their concerns in an informal meeting Tuesday night.

The meeting was hosted by the construction team and Lakeview schools, to open up a dialogue about what was going on with the construction process.

Concerns ranged from the tree line behind the school, to bus parking, and even the possibility of property damage due to poor drainage once the project is complete.

Superintendent Robert Wilson says the community has a positive outlook on the new school, and they will continue to hold these meetings in the future.
