Congressman Bill Johnson presented Scotty Crawford, a local 7th grader with an American Flag flown over the U-S Capitol in his honor.

Crawford raised more than $34,000 in two and a half years through several fund raising efforts.

The money was used to update the outside of the Canfield War Vets Museum.

"I wrote letters and I put them in mailboxes and sure enough I got donations. I went to groups like Canfield Junior Women's League and the V.F.W. and they gave me big donations," says Crawford.

The museum has more than 40,000 artifacts from virtually every U.S. conflict on display.  It's located at 23 East Main Street in Canfield.
