A Mahoning County jail inmate has been charged with a murder that occurred a year and a half ago in Youngstown.
The county grand jury on Thursday indicted 22-year-old Deangelo L. Young on one count of aggravated murder and one count of murder for the shooting death of Devon Lavell Damous.
The body of the 22-year-old victim was found on November 23, 2104.
Investigators say the Youngstown man was slumped over the steering wheel of a van parked on the 700 block of Lexington Avenue.
Damous had been shot several times.
Young is already jailed on several charges including robbery, kidnapping and assault.
If convicted, Young could be sentenced to life in prison.
